If there are any differences, they would be akin to the differences in Russian between Moscow and St. Petersburg. It is one nation divided by political bounderies. On the French side they speak Catalan and French and on the Spanish side they speak Catalan and Spanish. Among themselves they speak only Catalan. On both sides of the border street signs are bi-lingual repsectively.
