Ну, те шестерёнки, они, как бы, не совсем шестерёнки.
На сколько я понимаю, у шестерёнки, даже у косозубой, скольжение зубьев друг по другу ограничено. А тут скользят они в полный рост, больше чем у червячной передачи.
