Today I passed a public place where a number of people had collected. They were shouting abuse and accusations against the authorities for not taking any notice of legitimate complaints. If they are right, and the powers-that-be are so unjust, they will make no progress and get no justice. If they are wrong, they are themselves being unjust. So why do they do it?

It can only be to make themselves feel better: that is, for at least partly selfish reasons. Perhaps if they thought this through they might be able to evolve a strategy which would gain their objectives - but then, of course, how would they stimulate themselves?
