комбинационные тоны

Есть такой интересный эффект в акустике - комбинационные тоны. Одновременно со звуками, скажем, 300Гц и 400Гц будут слышны 100Гц ("разностный комбинационный тон") и 700Гц ("суммовой комбинационный тон").

Раньше считалось, что это чистый фантом, возникающий в человеческом ухе. Сейчас вроде бы доказано, что это свойство любой нелинейной акустической системы (уха в частности) - порождать такие комбинационные тоны.
